HUGE Rare large piece Fulgurite Lightning Stone Algeria 110g 20.6cm

  

For sale is a large piece of Fulgurite from Algeria which weighs 110g, and is 20.6 cm in length. Fulgurites are little tubes of glass that are formed when lightning strikes sand. It takes about a second to form and cool, with the temperature of the lightning fusing the quartz of the sand at around 1800 degrees celsius. They can be pretty long, up to five metres, but are fragile and usually are broken when retrieved from the sand.
