This is a 4.07grams/20.35ct. Pieces have no visible surface cuts/nics. Minor mini-nics can be seen by close inspection. Surface texture and condition along with quality of locality are key factors.
Grade pieces show 6-sided texture, excellent light reflection, and the uniqueness that is each moldavite crystal. Known as the Emerald that fell from the universe, Moldavite is a tektite (Meteorite) with a hardness ranging from 5.5 - 6.5. The asteroid hit the earth during the Middle to Upper Miocene age in what is now known as the Ries Crater in Barvaria (Germany).
For geological reference the miocene age 16. Million years ago is the time period that South America drifted west to near its present position, the Andes mountains continued formation, and many of the continents shifted to current bounded landscapes. The material from the impact was sent flying into the atmosphere, cooled down & formed the melted glass into what is now called Moldavite. The splash field or primarily landing of the melted crystals returning to earth is in the areas of South Bohemia (Czech Republic). Moldavite is not found in any other region of the earth. Unfortunately the words fake and moldavite are often used in the same conversation. There are many reputable dealers that sell authentic moldavite. Please do your research and quickly learn how to identify real moldavite. Inclusions are microscopic melted quartz, carried up from the ground during impact and melted into the material. Inclusions can be seen at around 40xx magnification and all faceted moldavite have inclusions. Any rough moldavite that has even a very small chip; that is, all but museum grade moldavites, have observable inclusions. These items are as described.

For reference, this listing shows a gem certificate of a museum grade Besednice moldavite set in 14K gold. This gem certificate is current, denotes testing done, includes colored pictures and stamp, the gemologist is located in the Czech, and the Besednice locality has been specified. This certificate holds extra value to a collector due to the amount of experience and reputation that this gemologist has.
