Up for sale is a rare example of a pure lab-grown crystal of Hafnium, using the van Arkel-de Boer process. This was developed in 1925 and has been a source of very pure Hafnium, Titanium and Zirconium. This beautiful and heavy piece is more than eight ounces (251.78 grams) and is 38 mm long by 26 mm wide. What's particularly beautiful is the bright rainbow sheen as seen on the different surfaces.
