This is an exquisite etched translucent part slice of the Admire Pallasite meteorite, named after the place near where it was found, Admire, Kansas. The terrestrial crystals of golden green Olivine exhibited are suspended in a gleaming Nickel-Iron matrix. The first specimen of Admire meteorite was found in 1881 and is readily identified by large polycrystalline areas that cleaved into highly angular shards, and, rarely, the distribution of these angular olivine crystals are as aesthetic as in this example. Less than 1% of all Meteorites are Pallasite meteorites, which is the most resplendent extraterrestrial substance known.
